Responsibilities
Define and establish the core style and tone of a project, develop pipelines and metrics, review artists’ work and give feedback to ensure highest quality expectations are met.
A thorough understanding of art pipelines, capacities and technical constraints related to different game engines.
Be ultimately responsible for the final quality of the content of a multidisciplinary team, guiding concept and design explorations, shepherding that design intent through an efficient production process, and ensuring that the content is high quality, culturally-sensitive, bug free, whilst responding to player feedback.
Build a world class team by sourcing global talents, and develop and grow their craft skills through on the job training and feedback.
Collaborate with artists both in China and worldwide, to make sure product goals are fulfilled, all stakeholder are satisfied, and that working practices are efficient and aligned with the needs of the game.
Work closely and efficiently with production, design, and engineering, and our IP partners, outsourcing agencies.

Requirements
Excellent art lead skills, in 2D and 3D, familiar with western animation art styles, (female genre art production experience will be considered with priority)
Strong command of full-cycle workflow from concept to production, including but not limited to User Interface, VFX, Modelling, Character Development, and Animation, and the ability to modify and improve them.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams and individuals. Growth minded and motivated towards teaching, enabling, and coaching other artists.
Ability to meet deadlines under tight schedules, a willingness to receive direction and a desire to work closely with team members.
Highly proactive, organized, self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and a team-player mentality.
A strong communicator and able to convey abstract/sophisticated ideas in a concise way, working language is English for global team, and ability to speak Mandarin will be a huge PLUS
Full time position located in Los Angeles (remote/in office hybrid work mode), or Hangzhou, China (preferred)
